The Nutcracker at The Lincoln Center

The Nutcracker Broadway Show Poster

The New York City Ballet’s classic annual performance of The Nutcracker at the David H Koch Theatre has been a New York City tradition since its original NYC debut in 1954. The show is a perennial favorite among locals and tourists alike for its light-hearted holiday message and its ability to transport its viewers to a winter wonderland, solely through the means of music and dance. The shows combination of Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky’s brilliant compositions and George Balanchine’s evocative choreography have performed the difficult task of making a show with no dialogue feel natural, expressive and emotional. During the holiday season, the show’s 90 dancers and 62 musicians help audiences embrace the holiday spirit and understand the often misunderstood art-form that is modern ballet. The 2019 Nutcracker show will began selling tickets on September 1st, 2019 and is set to open on November 23rd, 2019 with a closing date of December 30th, 2019.
