What's The Country House Like?

The Country House is a new play by Donald Margulies (Time Stands Still, Brooklyn Boy, Dinner With Friends). This Broadway play has a compelling storyline and is rounded out with some surefire wit. Dealing with old memories, tragic dreams, and romance, the play is an inside look into one of the theatre community’s most beloved summer festivals.

Is The Country House Good for Kids?

Due to adult themes and conversations, the show is most appropriate for children over the age of 12. As per usual, children under the age of 4 are not permitted inside the theatre.

The Country House on Broadway Background

Directed by Daniel Sullivan (Good People, The Columnist), the show is a transfer from Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse, where the show received excellent reviews and played to many sold out houses. The play is produced by the Manhattan Theater Club in their Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, and stars Blythe Danner as the lead role, Anna Patterson. The rest of the talented cast includes Sarah Steele, Eric Lange, Kate Jennings Grant, Daniel Sunjata, and David Rasche.
