The original 1981 show production was a storied fiasco. What’s Merrily We Roll Along Like?
With a book by George Furth and a score by Stephen Sondheim, the show tracks the friendship of three best college pals (played by Radcliffe, Groff and Mendez) over the course of 20 years.
The show moves backwards in time and reveals how a composer's idealism and friendships were corrupted by success. The show starts with the disillusioned present and ends with their optimistic college years.
