Finding Neverland tells the true story of the creation of one of the world's most beloved children's characters: Peter Pan. In the show we see playwright J.M. Barrie find inspiration to write Peter Pan in the most unlikely of places at Kensington Gardens in London.

What's Finding Neverland Like?

At Kensington Gardens, Barrie meets four young brothers and their playful spirit and imagination inspires his new play, Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up.

The show is a magical children’s musical with inventive stage artistry and an uplifting musical score. With a little bit of pixie dust and a lot of faith, J.M Barrie takes this monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland where nothing is impossible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever. Tony Yazbeck (On the Town, A Chorus Line) and long-time Broadway stalwart Kelsey Grammer (La Cage aux Folles, “Frasier”) star in this breathtaking smash that “captures the kid-at-heart” (Time Magazine). Vogue cheers, "it’s a must-see you’ll remember for years to come!” Finding Neverland is “far and away the best musical of the year!” (NPR).

Is Finding Neverland Good for Kids?

Yes! This is designed to be a show to delight and charm children. However, children under the age of 4 are not allowed in the theater.

Finding Neverland on Broadway Background

In this Broadway production, the role of J.M. Barrie is played by Tony Yazbeck ("Smash"), the role of the nagging stage producer Charles Frohman is played by Kelsey Grammer (La Cage aux Folles, "Frasier", "Cheers"), the role of Madame du Maurier is played by Carolee Carmello (City of Angels, Parade), and the role of Sylvia Llewelyn Davies is played by Laura Michelle Kelly (Sweeney Todd the film, Mary Poppins). The show is directed by visionary Tony winner Diane Paulus.

Finding Neverland is Broadway’s biggest new hit and the winner of Broadway.com's Audience Choice Award for Best Musical! This is certainly a high profile show this season, not only because of its movie origins but also because of its interesting path to reach the Broadway stage.

This show came directly after the box office and critical failure of J.M. Barrie's last show Little Mary
