Twas the Night Before - By Cirque du Soleil on Broadway Background

This festive show is about the wonders of sharing and friendship and promises to spark lasting memories in the hearts of families this holiday season. Clement C. Moore wrote the original poem that this show is based on.

How The Original Story Came To Be

On Christmas Eve in 1822, Clement Moore went out to buy presents for his wife and family and they waited for him to return. Before he left on his shopping expedition, he wrote the poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” which is a long poem that he would read to his family later that evening.

Moore never returned to the family house and was never seen again. The family cherished the poem and later published it.

Previous Incarnations Of This Show
