Cabaret (2014) on Broadway Background

Willkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome! These three words famously begin the opening number of Cabaret presently being revived by the Roundabout Theatre Company at Studio 54, in a production directed by Sam Mendes and starring Alan Cumming as the emcee – both of whom were on board for the last renowned production of this same classic in 1998. This brilliant masterwork with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb also stars Emma Stone as Sally Bowles, who replaced Michelle Williams following her departure on November 9, 2014. Stone will play the role until February 1, 2015, and Cumming will remain on as the emcee until March 29, 2015.
