Exit the King on Broadway

Eugene Ionesco’s great absurdist comedy Exit the King comes to Broadway for a limited 14-week engagement, starring acclaimed actors and Oscar winners Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking, Thelma & Louise) and Geoffrey Rush (Pirates of the Caribbean, Shine, Shakespeare in Love). This marvelous production heralds Rush’s debut on the Great White Way, and it is Sarandon’s first time on Broadway in over 25 years. The production also features Emmy nominee Lauren Ambrose (Broadway's Awake and Sing!) and Tony winner Andrea Martin (most recently on Broadway in Young Frankenstein).

Our Recommendation
Ionesco's absurdist style can strike some as too tedious or too odd, but if you don't mind something a little different, this is a wonderful and well-acted production of a play that explores the subject of death in a touching and comic fashion.
