Our Recommendation
When John Leguizamo begins his latest one-man show in the 1960s, it's hard to believe this highly energetic, irreverent cut-up is old enough to have studied with legendary acting teacher Lee Strasberg. But Leguizamo is indeed into his late 40s and has been acting for the majority of his life. Weaving in characters and incidents from his personal life, Leguizamo focuses this show on his career and how his pursuit of acting has affected his family, friends, and his love life. If you're a longtime fan of Leguizamo's work, be aware that he doesn't adhere to a very strict timeline. Ignoring that, though, it's fun to listen to him talk about his respect for his craft and his teachers, his love of ad-libbing and getting laughs, and great behind-the-scenes stories from his theater, TV, and movie projects.
