Our Recommendation
Arcadia is generally considered to be one of Tom Stoppard's greatest plays, and this revival definitely does it justice. In truth, Stoppard is not for everyone - his razor sharp English wit and his penchant for the esoteric (this play alone tackles landscape architecture, chaos theory, academia, and English poetry) can be a bit intimidating. But if you enjoy a great play of ideas, and you're prepared to be an attentive audience, Arcadia can be a hugely rewarding theatrical experience that excites the brain and touches the heart.
