La Cage Aux Folles Show Summary

London's Menier Chocolate Factory brings its acclaimed revival of the Jerry Herman / Harvey Fierstein musical La Cage Aux Folles to Broadway in a production starring Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, Cheers). The warm, funny musical comedy, based on the French film of the same name (later made into an American movie, The Birdcage), features a tuneful score that includes such songs as "I Am What I Am," "The Best of Times," "Song on the Sand," and "With You on My Arm."

As of February 2011, Harvery Fierstein has taken over the lead role in La Cage Aux Folles.

La Cage Aux Folles Show Synopsis:
In order to win over the conservative parents of his son's future in-laws, a gay man and his longtime partner pose as a straight couple (with the latter in drag).
