Show Summary
The Country House is a new play by Donald Margulies (Time Stands Still, Brooklyn Boy, Dinner With Friends). It takes place in a Berkshire home during the Williamstown summer theatre festival, as a group of actors reckon with their art, fame, and relationships with one another. The weekend includes a series of simmering jealousies, romantic outbursts and passionate soul-searching. The play is produced by the Manhattan Theater Club in their Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, and stars Blythe Danner as the lead role, Anna Patterson.

The country house. What;s Life Without A Little Drama?
This Broadway play has a compelling storyline and is rounded out with some surefire wit.  Directed by Daniel Sullivan (Good People, The Columnist), the show is a transfer from Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse, where the show received excellent reviews and played to many sold out houses.  Dealing with old memories, tragic dreams, and romance, the play is an inside look into one of the theatre community’s most beloved summer festivals.  The rest of the talented cast includes Sarah Steele, Eric Lange, Kate Jennings Grant, Daniel Sunjata, and David Rasche.

Due to adult themes and conversations, the show is most appropriate for children over the age of 12.  As per usual, children under the age of 4 are not permitted inside the theatre.
