Inside the Actors Studio Free TV Show Tickets in New York City
The "Inside the Actors Studio" TV Show is Shot in New York City and Tickets To The Show Are Available To The Public

Inside the Actors Studio TV ShowSince 1994, Bravo's popular TV series Inside the Actors Studio has been getting some of the film and television world's brightest stars to sit down and speak in depth about the acting process. Inside the Actors Studio has also branched out to include musicians, comedians, writers, directors, and other distinguished arts professionals. The show's interview subjects are not its only stars, though. Host James Lipton has gained himself quite a bit of notoriety for his interviewing style. Will Ferrell famously mimicked Lipton on Saturday Night Live, emphasizing the host's tendency to ask pretentious questions and overpraise his guests.

Its affiliation with the prestigious Actors Studio allows Inside the Actors Studio to attract the most talented and respected performers in the world. The debut episode featured Paul Newman, and subsequent guests have included Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Arthur Miller, Clint Eastwood, Dustin Hoffman, Eddie Murphy, Elton John, Francis Ford Coppola, Gene Hackman, James Cameron, Jodie Foster, Lauren Bacall, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Robert DeNiro, Robin Williams, Russell Crowe, Sean Penn, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, and Will Smith, just to name a few.

Inside the Actors Studio was originally taped at The New School in New York City, but in 2005 the contract between The New School and the show was not renewed. Inside the Actors Studio now tapes at Pace University, also in New York City. Unlike most celebrity interview TV shows, Inside the Actors Studio is slow-paced and concentrates on the craft of acting rather than empty questions about celebrity and gossip. James Lipton always has a pack of question cards and converses with the guest on a variety of subjects before moving to the portion of the interview where he submits the interviewee to a standard questionnaire that includes such queries as "What is your favorite curse word?" and "What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?" The final segment of Inside the Actors Studio allows the Actors Studio MFA students in the audience to ask the guest questions directly.
