During
the 35 years since he first stepped in front of a camera, Meredith Viera
has enjoyed success comparable with the top female TV stars of our day. Viera currently hosts the blockbuster hit series "Who Wants
to Be A Millionaire" (Where Viera turned Regis Philbin's primetime TV hit into a daytime syndicated show) and Viera is also the co-host of the top-rated Today Show on NBC, picking it up from Katie Couric, following her departure to CBS news.
A ten-time Emmy
Award nominee (nine as the co-host of the Today Show and one as the host of Who Wants
To Be A Millionaire) and former member of the Barbara Walters TV Show "The View", Viera was recently honored by New York City Mayor
Rudolph Guiliani with a Crystal Apple Award for her contributions to the
New York Television industry.
Viera has successfully
branched out into non-broadcasting areas. She has written two best-selling
memoirs -- I'm Only One Woman and Who Wants To Be She? She also recently launched
a new clothing line of by Phillips-Van Heusen, inspired by her sartorial
look on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
