Free Tickets To The Oprah Winfrey Show

Schedule:
The Oprah Winfrey Show tapes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00 AM and at 12:00 noon CST.

Season:
The Oprah Show season starts in August and continues thru November. They break for the holidays and then start taping again from January till May, then take a hiatus thru the summer.

Studio Location:
The Oprah Show is shot at the Harpo Studios in Chicago. The Harpo studios are located on the west side of Chicago, ten minutes west of the loop - just west of I 90/94 and north of I 290.

Audience Entrance:
The audience must enter the studio at 1058 West Washington - at the corner of Carpenter and Washington streets. Street parking and commercial lots are within a short distance of the entrance. The show does not pay for your parking.

Booking:
To attend the Oprah Show , you must make a reservation by calling 312-591-9222, Monday through Friday, between 9:00am - 5:00pm, CST. If the number is busy, they ask that you keep trying.
Please note that the show goes on hiatus during the summer months so there are no show tapings and the reservations department is closed. They re-open in early August and start taking reservations for September and October.
Don't try calling directly after a show, the lines are jammed for hours.

Buying Tickets
The Oprah show would like to point out that tickets are always free and you should never pay for Oprah tickets. It may, however, take a few hours to get thru on the ticket line because of busy signals. Unaffiliated ticket services in Chicago exist that will get you a ticket, so you don't have to spend your time on the phone - in fact this was the only way we could get a ticket to the Oprah Show. Our time is not free and 6 hours of 2 people trying (Pretty unsuccessfully) costs far more that just buying the ticket from a ticket tout, which took all of 1 minute flat.
Please don't ask us who the services are, Oprah may sue us - Look in the phone book under ticket brokers.

Popularity:
Not surprisingly, demand for Oprah tickets far exceeds supply, especially after the Pontiac car giveaway where GM gave away 276 Pontiac G-6 sport sedans to Oprah's audience - valued at 7 million dollars. Although It was a great short-term win -win for both parties, it may make the Oprah Show seem like a charity show, many people see it as a sign of the end of the show and she is giving back to her fans.

Standby Tickets::
Standby tickets for Oprah are officially not available, but reports have surfaced where they have distributed tickets when a large groups have failed to arrive. Our lawyer says we cannot confirm nor deny this statement.

Age Requirements:
You must be 16 or over to attend the show. However, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent and must show a birth certificate for verification. Please ask for details when you make your reservation. All audience members must have a valid photo ID to enter the studio.

Transmission:
The Oprah show is broadcast daily on weekdays in syndication, which means it is sold to the highest bidding TV channel in your area.
