The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon
The View - Show Summary
The View TV show is a day time TV talk show series on ABC that is currently co-hosted by three women; Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez. Goldberg is the moderator of the show, in that she brings up a topic and discusses it with the other ladies of the show. Ratings of the show are strong but reviews of the show are mixed due to commentators and fans often saying the opinions on the show are factually incorrect.

The new season for 2014 has many varied personalities. The new show has one original cast member, Rosie O'Donnell, returning cast member Whoopi Goldberg and the two new co-hosts Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace. Rosie O'Donnell has a reputation for being outspoken and opinionated. The opinions of the soft spoken host Nicolle Wallace may be lost in the mix. The show opens with a lively segment called Hot Topics in which the gals weigh in on a handful of "issues" -- some more consequential than others. The rest of the hour-long program is devoted to interviews with celebrities and with experts on subjects such as health and fitness, as well as the occasional musical performance.

The View set and studio
The View is mostly made up of debates on certain topics of which may get quite heated. The hosts often bring in 1 to 2 guests and talk to them about what they are currently working on and give the show a little energy by playing games with them such as trivia or physical sport. The show is usually opened by having the co-hosts walking on stage and closed by saying "Enjoy the View."

The moderator gets a jumpstart on the "Hot Topics" and immediately all the other other hosts give their input. Aside from segments like "Hot Topics" the hosts will also show clips of viral videos as well as fashion discussions like "Must Have Monday."

The invited guests of the show can range from actors and musicians to politcal leaders, such as past guests Taylor Swift and Barack Obama. The guest sits in the middle of the hosts while talking to them about similar issues they discuss on the show on a regular basis.

The View Audience Demographic   Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck   Tonight Show Tickets

The View Demographic
The View is usually hosted by middle-aged women and the show's audience reflects on this. The time the show airs could be directed towards stay-at-home mothers. At times, current mothers aren't able to leave their children at home with babysitters so live audiences aren't exactly chock-full of them. The audience leans more towards middle-aged or slightly older women.

The View's younger fans are slim to none, although the women talk about topics relating to pop culture rather than just your headlining news and politics.
Rosie O'Donnell & Elisabeth Hasselbeck Controversy:
An argument between O'Donnell and Hasselbeck started on May 23, 2007 discussing the war in Iraq. O'Donnell claimed how there was a lack of coverage from the news on what George W. Bush's policies were regarding the war.

She was a little more than offended when Hasselbeck (Republican), didn't back her statement up. This quickly turned into a nationwide debate and was ultimately the event that drove Rosie O'Donnell to leave the show.
