Now that you have your travel plans set for your trip to New York City’s Broadway Theater District, the only thing you’re missing is your resource to finding a great dining experience! New York City has a multitide of restaurants and bars that serve all types of cuisine from the sublime to the ridiculous.
We have compiled a list of wonderful and affordable restaurants all within walking distance to the theater district, complete with reviews, price points and special recommendations. We kept a keen eye on price and we feature all the restaurant discounts. We also intentionally selected restaurants off the beaten path.
We’ve found out where the people who live in this town eat in this town, and we’ve provided enough choices that even the pickiest diner will find something to nosh.
Everything from brick oven Pizza to great Seafood is included in the guide and the best part of it is: we did all the hunting for you. Unlike most guides that give you so many choices you can’t decide where to go, we’ve made it easy on you; we’re taking out the “maybes” and are only featuring our favorites. You’ll get the best bang for your buck at our Indian picks and a choice of Romantic places that keep you in the neighborhood, yet out of the frenzy of midtown chaos. Coming into town with the Kids? We’ve found the spots that feed you like an adult, while getting them crayoned, grilled cheesed and to your show on time.
Our favorite Mexican and Thai places were abundant and we pared them down for you so you didn't’ have to wade through long confusing lists. Manhattan has so many amazing choices of places to eat- why settle and eat out of mere convenience when sometimes one block can be the difference between a good meal and a great one. No need to wait outside in the cold for sub-par, mass-produced Italian when there is better and more authentic around the corner. We’ve found Chinese food that will blow away the bland and greasy competition, a great family owned French restaurant with ambiance among others, and a Steakhouse for your meat lovers as well as your vegetarians. We’ve even found the best quality Japanese tucked away in places we never expected.
We ate our way from one end of midtown clear through the other side and compiled our list we like to call “ Cheap Eats with your Cheap Seats”.
When we finally rolled out of the theater district we sat back, pat our full bellies and smiled knowing we were providing you with the most updated, straightforward, no-nonsense food-lovers guide to the hidden treasures in the theater district.
We hope you like our picks.
