Guide to Celebrating a Bachelorette Party in New York City
Our guide provides you with ideas on where to host your bachelorette party, such as at restaurants, bars, lounges, spas, a comedy club, strip club, or on a tour.

Bachelorette PartyThrowing the bride-to-be a bachelorette party is a wedding tradition that allows the bride and her best girl friends a girls night out to celebrate her last hurrah as a single girl before walking down the aisle. Below we’ve listed a variety of ways to get your bachelorette to let loose or relax before her big day in New York City, depending on how she wants to celebrate.

Enjoy a fabulous drag revue at Lucky Cheng’s, a New York City favorite for bachelorette parties, with Asian food and an outrageous cabaret performance. If stripping or erotic dancing is more your style, take in a male strip revue at Club Duvet where they host Hunkmania nights on Fridays and Saturdays, or learn how to work a pole at an EDC Dance Studio workshop class. Pamper the bachelorette at Allure Day Spa & Hair Design with massages, manicures and pedicures, or enjoy a martini and music while your nails are manicured at Beauty Bar. Belt out your favorite songs for your girls night out at DUET 48 or share communal pots of melted cheese and chocolate for some fondue at Dip Bar & Lounge. Laugh your butt off at a customized comedy show at Laugh Lounge NYC. Or take a tour that any Sex and The City fan is sure to love, with the Sex and The City Hotspots Tour, to visit locations throughout New York City where scenes were filmed for the TV show.

And your girls night out won't be complete without purchasing erotic desserts and lap dances from drag queens.

The host touches on more than 40 locations on the tour, such as the gallery in SoHo where Charlotte worked and bars where Carrie and the girls drank and gossiped. The bus stops at certain locations so you can sample what the characters ate and drank, like the cupcakes Miranda stuffed into her mouth at a bakery. Indulge with a girls night out at Dip Bar & Lounge, a hip fondue restaurant in Murray Hill. The menu offers a cheese fondue, with vegetables, bread, chicken, and shrimp for dipping, and dessert fondue, with a choice of milk chocolate, peanut buttercup, or vanilla fondue, with fresh fruit, brownie bites, cookies, marshmallows, and peanuts for dipping. There are appetizers and small plates available, a full bar with plenty of wines and cocktails, a projection screen, TVs, and a DJ playing music. In the warmer months, an outdoor garden patio opens for al fresco drinking and dipping.
