The Seagull on Broadway
One of Anton Chekhov's greatest plays, The Seagull comes to Broadway in a revival starring Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient) and Peter Sarsgaard (Jarhead, Kinsey). This is the acclaimed production that recently played at London's Royal Court. Ian Rickson serves as director, and Chekhov's text has been newly translated by playwright Christopher Hampton (Les Liaisons Dangereuses). Critic John Lahr describes The Seagull as "The finest British production of Chekhov in recent memory," and Variety's David Benedict proclaims, "Kristin Scott Thomas is mesmerizing in this bold, supremely truthful production."
