Summary Both the scandals and the good deeds that characterized the life of the charismatic evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson are dramatized in this new biographical musical that charts her rise and eventual fall from grace.
Age Tweens and Up. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
Our Review Super talented yet somewhat underappreciated Broadway vet Carolee Carmello will have a ball with what could be a star-making role for her, playing a once incredibly influential but now little known female evangelist. Kathie Lee Gifford, who has had a longstanding side interest in writing for the theater, has written the book and lyrics for this new musical, allowing the TV host to finally make her Broadway debut in a behind-the-scenes role (she was previously seen on the Broadway stage in Putting It Together).
