DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER review
Don't Dress For Dinner is currently playing at the following Broadway Theatre:
Bernard sends his wife off to his mother's place so that he can spend the weekend with his chic mistress. But things get complicated when he invites both his best friend (to provide an alibi) and a female gourmet chef (to make the perfect meal).
John Tillinger (Direction)
John Lee Beatty (Set Design)
Jess Goldstein (Costume Design)
Ken Billington (Lighting Design)
David Van Tieghem (Sound Design)
Marc Camoletti (Playwright)
Summary In this crazy farce, things get complicated when a man, his mistress, his wife, and the best friend who is having an affair with his wife all end up in the same house for one very mixed-up romantic weekend.
Age Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
Our Recommendation By the same author who wrote Boeing Boeing, which had a hit Broadway revival a few seasons ago, Don't Dress For Dinner doesn't have quite the same level of manic energy, but it delivers plenty of laughs. The standout is Tony-nominated Spencer Kayden, last seen on Broadway in Urinetown as Little Sally, and now making an equally distinct impression in a more mature role, playing a caterer who gets drawn into the shenanigans of the people she is supposed to be serving.
