Show Synopsis:
It's a big night for the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, but when the Italian star of the opera's production of Otello goes missing, an escalating series of events makes for door-slamming hilarity all around.

Summary Set at a Cleveland opera company in the 1930s, the madcap farce Lend Me a Tenor follows the chaos that ensues when the opera's guest star, famed Italian singer Tito Merelli, goes missing and one man must try to cover for the star, deal with his hot-blooded wife, and fend of his crazy fans.

Our Recommendation
Fans of farce will likely find much to enjoy in this Ken Ludwig play full of slamming doors and silliness. The production features several talented actors, including Monk's Tony Shalhoub as the opera's producer, rising young movie actor Justin Bartha (The Hangover) as his put-upon gofer, and Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace) as a world-famous singer whose disappearance wreaks havoc for them both.
