La Bete on Broadway
This revival of playwright David Hirson's Moliere-inspired comedy, directed by Matthew Warchus (God of Carnage), is coming to Broadway following a limited engagement in London. The 1991 play, set in 17th century France, is about theater troupe performer Elomire, who goes head-to-head with street entertainer Valere. The production stars Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce (Broadway's Spamalot and Curtains, TV's Frasier), Mark Rylance (Boeing-Boeing), and Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous).
