Our Recommendation Everyday Rapture defies easy description. It is almost a solo show but not quite; it is partially autobiographical but also partly fictional (we don't know which parts are which); and it features the star (and her back-up singers) performing songs by popular artists as varied as U2, Tom Waits, and Mister Rogers, but with unique new arrangements. Regardless of how it should be classified, though, Everyday Rapture is a joyous, thoughtful, irreverent show in which the charming and disarmingly hilarious Broadway actress/singer Sherie Rene Scott (Aida, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Little Mermaid) uses her personal background as a way of examining fame, faith, and everything in between.
