What is New York TV Show Tickets Inc. ?
New York TV Show Tickets Inc. is a New York based discount broker that negotiates special discounts for the general public for services in New York City, including Broadway shows, TV Shows, Parking, restaurants, and movie shoots in New York. For a small fee, we sell online guides filled with this discount information. Click Here for more information

How do we order discounted Broadway tickets ?

  1. Sign up for our guide. Click Here
  2. Call Ticketmaster or Tele-Charge with the secret code you read on the guide.
  3. Pick the seats you want.
  4. Order your tickets from them and quote your discount code

How do I know where the seat is ?
After you sign up for our Broadway Ticket Guide, you login and read the guide -- we give you instructions in the guide on how you order your tickets from Ticketmaster or TeleCharge. You decide on the location of your seat when you call them, they will tell you what seats they have available -- they are the same seats that the public buys, but you are just paying much less.

How many tickets can I buy ?
As many tickets as you want! Some shows put caps at 8 tickets per person, but you can usually call back and get more if you need them.

Can you guarantee that the Broadway Ticket Guide will have a discount for the exact performance of the show I want to see?
We can make no guarantees that there will be a discount for any show in particular. People who wish to purchase the Broadway Ticket Guide should do so with this in mind. We simply furnish our customers with all available discount information for a very modest fee. If there is a discount available for the show of interest, you'll have access to the code. If there is no discount available, there is nothing we can do. We update our database three times daily.

Do restrictions apply to any of the Broadway discounts?
Broadway theaters reserve the right to place restrictions on the use of discount codes when purchasing tickets. In some cases they decide to exercise this right. We usually see most restrictions on discounts around the Xmas / New Year holidays and various official holidays. Occasionally a Broadway show may exclude Saturday night, but these are usually only the top shows and the exclusion is most often short-lived. When you call the ticket sales number, they can give you the very latest discount code restrictions (If any) applicable to that Broadway show.

How do we receive our discounted Broadway tickets ?
Exactly the same way you would get a regular priced ticket: You can pick it up at the box office or have it mailed to you. It is a regular ticket -- just discounted!

How long does it take to receive the tickets ?
It takes the usual few days to receive the ticket. It is a regular ticket, just at a discounted price!
Ask them when you order how long it is for delivery (it will usually be just a few days). You can also pick up the tickets at the Box Office.

How often are the guides updated ?
The Broadway Guide is updated as soon as we receive changes from the theatres, which sometimes can be three times a day. The TV guide is updated every couple of weeks.

How close to my trip should I get access to the guide ?
For the Broadway Guide, usually a couple months before your trip is about the earliest you should get it. Assuming that the Broadway show still has tickets available, the night before the show is the very latest. The discount codes are usually valid for the next 60 - 90 days, although sometimes it is less, and other times we often have codes that cover up to 120 days in advance. You get 30 days of access to the guide, so during that period the Broadway shows that you intend to see will pop up with discounts that are applicable to your trip.
Also keep in mind that the Broadway Ticket Guide is only $4, so you can afford to get it a bit earlier just to understand how everything works, even though you might need to pay again to get the date you actually want. The student discounts and standing room only ticket information in the guide applies regardless of the date.
For the TV Guide we suggest at the earliest is 6 months and the night before is the very latest. (Although there may not be a lot of choice at that time.)

How many Broadway shows can I buy tickets for using the guide ?
As many as you want! You can see almost every show on Broadway if you like -- the online guide will give you access to all the show discounts that are available, not just one or two.

Are there any other charges incurred with purchasing tickets (taxes, shipping), and what are the charges ?

Just the same as regular ticket. It is a regular ticket, just discounted. If you need to see the statutory charges that TicketMaster or TeleCharge make, go to their web sites and attempt to make a sale -- the charges will be outlined. (Don't actually put the sale through, though, unless you really want them.)

Is there any way I can avoid paying the Ticketmaster or Tele-Charge fees ?
(Currently $6.00 per ticket)

You can avoid the fees by taking our codes directly to the box office and buying your tickets there.
The problem is, though, how do you know if any tickets are available for the show you want and will the codes be honored for the show you want before going there ?
Some people call Ticketmaster or Tele-Charge first to find out those details but then don't actually buy them from them. This is one way to be certain that there are no restrictions on the discount code for the date you want to use it -- however, between the time calling and actually going there, there is always the possibility that the tickets could have been sold out.

Are tickets to TV show tapings purchased the same way that Broadway show tickets are?
No. TV tickets are typically free and for that reason obtaining these tickets is a very different (and less certain) process than purchasing Broadway tickets. Getting them often involves calling a reservation line or waiting in line for standby tickets. Our TV Ticket Guide gives you the inside scoop on the best way to snag tickets for the New York City TV shows that you want to see.

What are the charges for the online guide ?
Online access to our Broadway Ticket Guide is $4, the TV Show Ticket Guide is $3, and our Parking Discount is $2. You can get all three for $7. We charge you only once, and your access will expire at the end of 30 days. We will e-mail you notice when your account is about to expire, but we do not automatically re-bill you. We figure that you will find the guide invaluable, so we want you to come back to us and re-subscribe when you want to go to other shows in the future.

I don't like using credit cards to pay for things on the web because of security issues.
Is there any other way of paying for a subscription ?

Our web site only accepts payment through Paypal or 2Checkout.
Both services process your credit card number completely independently of us - so your credit card info never comes to us -- they just tell us when you have paid.

If you are really concerned with giving those companies your credit card number then another way of paying online is to use a CitiBank credit card. For all Citi card members, they have a special service called "Virtual Account Numbers" - This service allows you to create a unique credit card number for every transaction, so the card number is useless after the transaction has gone through -- it only lasts for one transaction, so if someone steals it, it doesn't matter because it's useless! The downside is that you need an Citibank credit card. But it is a great way to foil the credit card bandits out there and so far we cannot find a fault with it. The URL for CitiBank Virtual Account Numbers is: CitiBank Virtual Account Numbers

What is the TKTS booth ?
(It is also known as the Half Price Ticket Stand and Twofers)
This is a ticket booth where discount tickets are sold on the day of the performance. The line can be very long and it is in the open air (summer and winter are pretty extreme in New York). Tickets are sold at 25% or 50% off and there is limited availability of tickets. NYTix.com combines the ease of regular advanced orders with the attractive discounts of the TKTS booth.
