What Is THE LION KING Like?
Directed by Julie Taymor, this long-running musical favorite incorporates stupendous costumes and puppetry, breaking new ground on theatrical methods for humans to portray animals onstage. As the animals walk down the aisles, a good orchestra seat can mean the audience is arms’ length from the magnificent creatures. Furthermore, the score is absolutely wonderful, with such catchy favorites from the animated film as “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” “Circle of Life,” “Be Prepared,” “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” and “Hakuna Matata.” This show is an amazing way to re-live the animated film while experiencing an entirely new theatrical treat.
Is THE LION KING Good for Kids?
Children will absolutely adore this show. Still, Disney recommends that The Lion King is best for children ages 6 and up, although performances are recommended for a General Audience. Anyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket, even if they sit on your lap.
