Rock 'N' Roll Is Dead, Is He Dead Is Buried, And In The Heights Is Open For Business On Broadway

Broadway lost two plays today when Tom Stoppard's Rock 'N' Roll and the Mark Twain comedy Is He Dead? closed. But Broadway gained a hot new musical with In the Heights, which just had its official opening at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. A couple of rave reviews have already come out, and if the ecstatic audience response for the show is any indication, there will be more to follow.

Rock 'N' Roll Rocks Broadway

Rock 'n' Roll on Broadway

Shortly after Tom Stoppard's trilogy The Coast of Utopia secured 10 Tony nominations comes the news that his latest play, Rock 'n' Roll, will open on Broadway on November 4. The cast of the London production, which includes Brian Cox, Rufus Sewell, and Sinead Cusack, will reprise their roles on Broadway. Rock 'n' Roll will begin preview performances on October 19 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater.
