Two recent hit Broadway plays are now playing at a movie theater near you. John Patrick Shanley's drama Doubt has been made into a film, directed by the playwright and starring Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The docu-drama Frost/Nixon is now a film as well, and this one has retained the two men who starred in the Broadway production, Frank Langella and Michael Sheen, as Richard Nixon and David Frost, respectively. So if you missed these top-notch plays while they graced Broadway, catch them in the movie theater now!

Final Bows for a Trio of Plays

This Sunday, August 19, is your last opportunity to see three star vehicles on Broadway. The first is Deuce, a play about two former tennis players played by Angela Lansbury and Marian Seldes. The second is Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon, starring Frank Langella and Michael Sheen as former U.S. President Richard Nixon and British journalist David Frost, respectively. And the last is Old Acquaintance, a Broadway revival featuring the marvelous Harriet Harris and Margaret Colin.

Frost/Nixon is Entertainment Weekly Pick

Check out the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (June 1, 2007) to see the latest installment of the magazine's quarterly "Stage" section. In it, they review several Broadway shows, including Legally Blonde, Deuce, and Radio Golf, but it's the British play Frost/Nixon that gets their special "EW Pick" seal of approval.
