The Seafarer Concludes Its Broadway Voyage

The Seafarer, Conor McPherson's dark comedy about the devil coming for his due, closes on Broadway today. Starring David Morse and Ciaran Hinds, the production had an acclaimed run in London before coming to Broadway for a limited engagement. At its close, The Seafarer will have played 19 preview and 133 regular Broadway performances at the Booth Theatre.

Conor McPherson's new play The Seafarer has announced that it will close a month earlier than planned. Originally scheduled to end its Broadway run on April 30, the show is now planning to sail out of the Booth Theatre on March 30.

The Broadway openings keep on coming. The Seafarer officially opens tonight at the Booth Theatre, three weeks later than originally planned (delayed due to the Broadway strike, obviously). This production of Conor McPherson's play, starring David Morse and Ciaran Hinds, comes to Broadway following a run at London's National Theatre. Other McPherson plays that have appeared on Broadway include The Weir and Shining City.

The Seafarer Starts Broadway Performances Early

The new Broadway play The Seafarer, previously scheduled to start performances on October 31, will now begin its Broadway preview period on October 30. The Conor McPherson play will have its official Broadway opening at the Booth Theatre on November 15.
